VIDEO: ‘Free Guy’ and Other Awesome Programs Coming to Disney+ in February 2022
Disney+ announced this week that the 20th Century Studios hit Free Guy will be coming to the streaming network on February 23, 2022!
The epic adventure-comedy stars Ryan Reynolds, Jodie Comer, Lil Rel Howery, Joe Keery, Utkarsh Ambudkar and Taika Waititi. The film was originally released in theaters on August 13, 2021 and went on to gross over $330 million at the box office. 20th Century Studios also earned a People’s Choice Award for The Comedy Movie of 2021 and received a Critics Choice Award for Best Comedy.
In Free Guy, Reynolds plays a bank teller who discovers that he’s actually an NPC in an open-world video game. That is until he decides to become the hero of his own story. The box office hit was directed by Shawn Levy from a screenplay by Matt Lieberman and Zak Penn and a story by Lieberman. The film was produced by Ryan Reynolds, p.g.a., Shawn Levy, p.g.a., Sarah Schechter, Greg Berlanti and Adam Kolbrenner with Mary McLaglen, Josh McLaglen, George Dewey, Dan Levine and Michael Riley McGrath serve as executive producers.
