Space 220 Lounge Offering Advanced Booking
It would seem that Disney is responding to the massive demand over it’s space-themed restaurant Space 220. Since it opened earlier this fall this eatery with a dining room that is made to make guests feel like their dining in space is currently the hardest dining reservation to land at Walt Disney World.
Even seasoned Disney planners that are trying to make their reservations at the 60 day mark find the restaurant already completely booked. Getting a table at Space 220 these days is a bit like winning the lottery.
In addition, guests can expect lengthy stand-by lines as visitors unable to get a reservation try their luck.
In addition to the dining room, the restaurant also boasts a small lounge area where guests would ideally go to enjoy a cocktail without having to splurge on a meal. However, because of demand, its not possible for to pop in without a reservation for lounge only access. With that in mind, Disney decided to make the lounge bookable providing an alternative for those looking to get a coveted Space 220 reservation.

From the description, it looks like guests can order from the a la carte menu. This is posted on the website and is as follows:

- Starry Calamari- Fried Calamari, Italian Cherry Peppers, Spicy Marinara, Roasted Pepper Citrus Aioli. $19.00
- Blue Moon Cauliflower- Tempura Fried Cauliflower, Housemade Hot Sauce, Blue Cheese Dust. $17.00
- Chicken on Waffles- Fried Chicken, Smoked Bacon and Roasted Corn Waffle, Spiced Coleslaw, Bourbon Maple Glaze. $18.00
- Short Rib Sliders- White Cheddar Cheese, Sriracha Aioli, Lettuce, Tomato, Butter Pickles. $18.00

Wine, Beer and Soft Drinks are also available but what is not available are the entrees and desserts served up in the main dining room.
I looked online and couldn’t get a Space 220 Lounge reservation. You are not alone, there was a two hour window today where reservations for the lounge were available. However, once word caught on, these available slots booked up as quickly as the restaurant itself. However, availability opens up each day for the 60 days ahead. This also gives you an alternative to the Space 220. In future, if you don’t see availability at one location you might find it at the other.
