The Merriest Ways to Celebrate the Holidays at Disney!
If you are anything like me, you wait all year for this special season! It is my favorite time of year and I love looking for new ways to celebrate. Being a local, one of my favorite ways to celebrate this festive season is at Walt Disney World. And Disney does the holidays right!
Everything from seasonal goodies to exclusive holiday events to fun new offerings are available! It is hard to squeeze it all in but here are my faves. Check out the merriest ways to celebrate the holidays at Disney!
A Visit with Santa!
Santa is pretty busy this time of year but he manages to make a few appearances on Disney property. And this is so much fun! Bright upbeat music and themed backdrops make this a festive experience and a great photo op.
You can check out the Christmas man himself cruising down Hollywood Blvd in the Santa Claus Merry Motorcade. Or sailing down the Discovery River on the Santa Claus Festive Flotilla.
Even a quick stop at Disney Springs to let him know you have been nice this year is perfect! So, tap your toes to the upbeat holiday music and grab a festive pic! This is one experience you won’t want to miss!
Get Festive with Seasonal Décor!
I highly recommend checking out the awesome decorations at each of the four theme parks, but I also recommend visiting the hotel lobbies. This is one of my favorite experiences at Disney World and it is truly magical during the holidays!
Each lobby features seasonal decorations, iconic trees, and amazing gingerbread displays! Check out the larger than life gingerbread houses and candy treats that are perfect for this time of year. Be enveloped by seasonal aromas and delicious treats.
Many of the locations sell holiday snacks and drinks and feature a small gift shop to explore. Perfect!

Experience the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll
The Christmas Tree Stroll is back and better than ever! Featuring over 20- themed trees spread throughout Disney Springs, wander amongst classic Disney characters and seven new -themed trees including “Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas,” “Black Panther,” “Raya” and more.
Grab a map and keep your eyes open for the special references to the Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th Anniversary! This is such a beautiful and fun event.
Epcot Candlelight Processional
This experience is classic Disney Christmas. Each night, be immersed in the story of Christmas as told by a celebrity guest narrator. A live orchestra and massed choir bring the holiday story to life with beautiful music and rich orchestrations.
Outside and under the stars – it is truly a moving experience.
Celebrate the Festival of the Holidays
Experience an immersive holiday event filled with festive sights, sounds and international flavors. All December, the 2021 Taste of Epcot International Festival of the Holidays brings an excellent assortment of live entertainment, delicious new eats, and holiday merchandise for your enjoyment!
Get ready for a ton of fun.
Indulge your sweet tooth with a treat from the Holiday Cookie Stroll before listening to Pere Noel talk about Christmas traditions in France.
Or enjoy a delicious new bite from one of the many holiday kitchens before purchasing some new Festival apparel or joining in a Frozen holiday sing-along!. The beautiful decor, seasonal aromas, and holiday tastes make this one of the best Disney experiences.
