KIDS GUIDE: 50th Anniversary Statue Photo Shoots With McDonald’s Toys!
Hey kids (and parents too), we’ve got a super fun new way to explore the Parks during Walt Disney World’s big 50th Anniversary Celebration…and it involves both McDonald’s AND toys!
Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration is an 18-month long celebration, and McDonald’s is helping bring the festivities to your hometown! McDonald’s made 50 Happy Meal toys in the likeness of Walt Disney World’s 50 character statutes that have been placed across the Resort to celebrate the big anniversary.
Statue Photo Shoot Scavenger Hunt!
If you’re like me and have a whole bunch of McDonald’s toys and have higher hopes for them than next year’s garage sale, I’ve got a really fun idea for you (and your toys!). Bring your McDonald’s toys with you on your next Walt Disney World vacation! Kiddos, they’re small enough to fit into your carry on and I promise you’ll be SO glad you have them when you go statue hunting.
Hunting for the 50th Anniversary statues around the Parks is one of the most fun and immersive parts of the anniversary celebration. I love happening upon the statues as I’m exploring the Parks, and when you’ve got your McDonald’s toys with you, you can take the scavenger hunt-style search to the next level!
When you find the corresponding statue, snap a photo with your McDonald’s toy! Photographing the toys is a great activity to do with your kids: let them both find the statue then set up the camera angles for the perfect character photo shoot! Plus, this is a super inexpensive way to bring toys into the Parks without having to spend any money in a Disney merchandise location.
I love that the McDonald’s I toys are in color, which gives the photos a fun color pop! Happy statue hunting MickeyBloggers- and be sure to share any and all statue photos you or your kids snap with us in the comments!
Love it!! I was thinking of doing this with my kids when we go in a couple weeks! We are just park hoping 1 day after the cruise and I’m stressed about finding them all, along with everything else I want to do! Lol
That’s awesome you’ll be here so soon Ashley! I think your kids will have a great time statue hunting. It’s so much fun to just happen upon them when you’re just strolling around! Have SO much fun, and please share any statue pictures with your toys!
