For Chris Evans, ‘Lightyear’ is a ‘Dream Come True’
Many fans experienced the elation of the newly released trailer for Pixar’s newest adventure in the untold story of the Toy Story mainstay; for the film’s lead actor, Chris Evans, Lightyear is a “dream come true.”
One of the pinnacle animated film successes in Ciemam History, Toy Story has captured the imagination of people since its release in 1995.
The Pixar machine was yet to reach its astronomical status when the film hit theaters and embodied childhood connections we all have had with our favorite toys throughout our life.
Four films later, and Toy Story has become more of a dynasty than a film franchise; as it has firmly etched itself into the cultural zeitgeist, and became one of cinema history’s most important animated masterpieces.
Four films later, and Pixar is revisiting one of the series most beloved characters, but in a very new way.
Lightyear is the story of Buzz Lightyear but unlike any iteration of the character that we have encountered in its more than 20 years of existence.

This Buzz Lightyear is seemingly the property that would’ve inspired the action figure of Andy’s in-story universe; with a film following a young space ranger exploring the outer reaches of the galaxy.
For Chris Evans, Lightyear is a “dream come true.”
The Marvel mainstay, Evans captures the hearts of moviegoers with his interpretation of the beloved character of Steve Rogers’ Captain America; now he’s looking at breathing life into an equally as adored and known piece of pop culture history.
In a tweet released by Evans following the release of the trailer, he noted being, “covered in goosebumps,’ with the actor continuing by stating that, “nothing has ever made me feel more joy.”

In a separate statement reported by ComicBook.com, Evans noted the true adoration he has for Pixar animation and the special place that Animated films in general hold within his heart.
“The phrase ‘a dream come true’ gets thrown around a lot, but I’ve never meant it more in my life.”
The actor continued, “Anyone who knows me knows that my love for animated films runs deep, I can’t believe that I get to be a part of the Pixar family and work with these truly brilliant artists who tell stories unlike anything else.”
Evans concluded, “Watching them work is nothing short of magic. I pinch myself every day.”
