New Dining to Debut With Opening of Swan Reserve
We’re always excited when new dining options open in Disney! With the much anticipated opening the Swan Reserve, we’ll get four new ones to enjoy. They include a full-service restaurant Amare; poolside bar and grill Tangerine; grab-and-go Grounds and lobby lounge Stir.
Amare
Amare, which means to love, will be the Reserve’s signature dining restaurant featuring Mediterranean style food. The menu will feature ingredients popular to the area including a variety of seafood, citrus, olive oils, pasta and pitas.
According to Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Director of Food & Beverage Luciano Sperduto “At Amare, our guests experience a journey to the Mediterranean region through their palates…It’s a region with such a rich history of food, with so many great flavors to feature. The concept gave our culinary team an opportunity to really flex their creative muscles. There are great options for everyone to love.”
While we haven’t seen the full menu yet, some of the highlights include:
- Breakfast: Breakfast buffet, breakfast bowls and a la carte items including Eggs Au Cheval (two farm fresh eggs, seared medallions of angus beef tenderloin, sauce bearnaise and house breakfast potatoes)
- Lunch: Salads, flatbreads and entrees including grilled line-caught mahi-mahi with lemon, Tuscan kale and Spanish caper emulsion
- Dinner: Appetizers including hearth-fired Tiger Prawns and charred octopus, and entrees including sea bass al cartoccio, and handmade manti dumpling filled with bahrat spiced lamb, cauliflower, roasted eggplant, tomato, yogurt sauce
- Dessert: Pistachio caragli (rolled baklava), Greek yogurt cheesecake and Meyer lemon panna cotta
Tangerine, Grounds and Stir
Tangerine will serve as the resort’s poolside bar and restaurant with menu selections to include flatbreads, burgers, salads and sandwiches. The best part of this menu? The restaurant’s signature popsicle…you guessed it, tangerine flavored!
Grounds will be the place to pick up your morning (or midday park break) coffee. Additionally, the grab and go will also serve pastries, sandwiches and other grab and go items.
Last, and certainly not least, is Stir. Stir will offer a “tropical and airy feel” and will serve specialty cocktails and light bites. Stir will also serve resort exclusive food and drink pairings that will change daily.
Cheers
The four new restaurants will be part of the 22 dining experiences offered at the Swan and Dolphin. The new Swan Reserve, set to open in 2021, will offer a boutique hotel experience wit 149 guest suites and two presidential suites. Stay tuned for a deep dive article on the new resort from MickeyBlog once it opens.
