Vaccines for Children May Increase Disney Vacations
The White House believes children ages 5 to 11 may have access to the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as next month, November 2021. Therefore, vaccines for children may result in increased Disney family vacations.

Of course, administration of child vaccinations is pending authorization from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The Biden administration obtained enough vaccines for 28 million children at doctors’ offices, hospitals, pharmacies, community health centers, schools, and other community sites.

Authorities presume that more than 25,000 pediatric offices and primary care sites, as well as over 100 children’s hospitals across the nation will begin administering vaccines to children next month. Also, this feat is in partnership with state and local officials, nationwide.
Plans for Vaccine Administration
The plans released today, October 20, 2021, regarding vaccines for children. The FDA and the CDC are considering authorization of the Pfizer and BioNTech vaccines for children.

An FDA advisory committee will consider the vaccination on October 26, 2021. Also, a CDC committee will review information in early November 2021.
White House officials said, “The start of a vaccination program for children ages 5-11 will depend on the independent FDA and CDC process and timeline, but our planning efforts mean that we will be ready to begin getting shots in arms in the days following a final CDC recommendation. These steps will be critical in ensuring that we are staying ahead of the virus by keeping kids and families safe, especially those at highest risk.”

So, what does this mean for Disney vacations? We anticipate that more families will travel to places like Disneyland and Walt Disney World once their children are vaccinated.
Many voice concerns of visiting Disney destinations, because their children have no protection against the virus. This provides protection for children ages 5 to 11 if their families decide it is the right choice for them.
