PHOTOS: Get a First Look at Off-Broadway Winnie The Pooh Musical
If you’ve been following along with us here at MickeyBlog then you’ll know that Winnie the Pooh and friends are coming to NYC in a new Off-Broadway musical called The Hundred Acre Wood.
Thanks to an exclusive in PEOPLE magazine we’ve been treated to a first look at the images of Winnie the Pooh, The New Musical Adaptation.
As you can see from these images, the musical will feature a stunning life-sized puppetry. The musical will feature Pooh, Christopher Robin, Piglet, Eeyore, Kanga, Roo, Rabbit, Owl and Tigger.
This production is brain child of Jonathan Rockefeller, will feature the classic Sherman Brothers music as well as additional songs by A.A. Milne.
According to the post in People, the musical will also feature several original songs including “Winnie the Pooh,” “The Wonderful Thing About Tiggers” and “A Rather Blustery Day.”
The musical is already shaping up to be a smash success having broken theatre box office records for the largest advance of any show at Theatre Row in New York City.
Tickets for Winnie the Pooh, The New Musical can be purchased here. Those interested in attending should not that proof of vaccination will be required for adults and eligible children. For younger than the eligible age, a negative COVID test is required . A testing van will actually be outside the theater. Audience members also need to remain masks at all times inside the theater.
