REVIEW: Happy Haunts Materialize…as a Seasonal Milkshake!
I will be the first to admit how tough it is to keep not just the seasonal Halloween treats, but the 50th Anniversary treats sorted in your head.
I’m here to help you narrow down your list of ‘must-tries’ this fall in Magic Kingdom because I recently had the Happy Haunts milkshake…and you’re going to want to get it too!
You can mobile order the Happy Haunts shake from Columbia Harbor House, fittingly situated just across the walkway from The Haunted Mansion.
The shake itself is blackberry ice cream spun into a light and not overly creamy milkshake.
Normally I’d want a milkshake to be over-the-top rich and creamy, but with the days still topping out in the upper 80’s, the lightness to this drink was perfect.
The flavor is subtly blackberry and for me has more of a vanilla-forward flavor with a blackberry finish. Very approachable and refreshing!
The reason I really recommend this dessert is because you don’t JUST get a milkshake…but an entire chocolate cake glazed donut to boot!
The cake donut is super dense and was already frosted underneath that purple icing. The purple frosting was pretty unnecessary flavor-wise and fell off the donut easily, but hey, it’s what makes the dessert worthy of Instagram.
Of course, the addition of a Haunted Mansion wallpaper straw takes this tasty dessert to a whole new level! My favorite way to enjoy the treat was when I tried it all together.
Dunk your chocolate cake donut INTO the shake for the best flavor version of this super cute seasonal dessert! Will you be trying this dessert this fall? Leave me a comment and let me know!
