Chef Yosses Visits 50th Anniversary Celebration
With his new Hulu show “Baker’s Dozen” officially airing now on Hulu, Chef Bill Yosses took a moment to celebrate the Walt Disney World Resort’s big anniversary this week. Of course, the pastry chef, who served as the White House pastry chef during the Obama and George W. Bush administrations, explored all of the magic that the resort has to offer.
First, the culinary wizard popped by EPCOT, Disney’s epicurean epicenter. According to Disney Parks Blog, the chef marvelled in the food-centric new attraction, “Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure,” as well as Le Creperie de Paris, which opened in the same parisian-themed space.
“The Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebration shows just how innovative the park is. The newest technology and creative ideas are bubbling up all over. Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Epcot all seem to reinvent themselves continually,” Yosses said in the Disney Parks Blog article.
Yosses remarked that Remy’s new adventurous attraction really does immerse guests in the “Ratatouille” film experience. The passionate chef also remarked that he would be borrowing an idea from the new creperie. With an eye on healthy pastries, Yosses thoroughly enjoyed that the new Ratatouille Galette uses buckwheat flour.
“I’m putting this on my menu right now!” he said in the article shared today. Yosses opened Palais by Perfect Pie in New York City in 2019 before closing down the project in March 2020, just before the pandemic shut down much of the country.
Yosses stars as host of the new baking competition show “Baker’s Dozen” alongside Tamara Mowry-Housley. The series challenges home bakers to take on professional bakers in friendly competition. Over 13 episodes, the home bakers will compete for a golden rolling pin and a cash prize. Eight of the thirteen episodes are currently available on the streaming platform.
