Marvel Studios Confirms ‘Eternals’ Will Follow Two Connected Storylines
Marvel’s latest continuation of the MCU is on the horizon with just a month until its theatrical release; news on the film has recently surfaced as Marvel Studios confirms Eternals will follow two connected storylines.

We already know through the premise of the film that Eternals will deal with the present day, and an ancient age; as the super-powered family of intergalactic beings is a part of a narrative that spans centuries.
Comicbook.com reported a newly released Marvel press release that has been circulating around Disney; one that confirms what fans can expect in the diverging plots.

The press release states,
“The story takes place across two time periods. One storyline is set in the past when they operated as a formidable team and a close family unit, The second storyline is in the present when the group has fractured and split apart, content to live among humans, hiding in plain sight.
The prevailing threat of the Deviants, which once again threatens the existence of mankind, means the Eternals need to put their differences aside and regroup.”

With news surfacing that Marvel Studios confirms Eternals will follow two connected storylines, the picture becomes clearer; with varying time periods allowing for audiences to better understand the great and nearly limitless journey of these immortal beings.
Marvel producer, Nate Moore, spoke more in-depth on what fans can hope to find in this fantastical story of family and perseverance; noting the goal Marvel set forth of creating a galactic, yet relatable, fable of heroism and humanity.

Speaking of audiences, Moore stated, “We want them to discover a mythology that is a challenging sci-fi movie but also has a human heart. And we want them to meet ten heroes who they, hopefully, can relate to.”
Moore concluded, ” We want audiences to discover a corner of the Marvel universe they’ve never seen before.”

That is the ultimate destination for the journey for which Chloe Zhao is orchestrating; attacking themes of family, cosmic entities yet discovered, and ancient wars waged under the unassuming eye of humanity create for an eccentric and thrilling canvas for which Zhao is able to craft her own masterpiece.
Eternals is a blank slate of only potential; with characters, almost completely unknown to even the most die hard of comic book fans, these ten heroes will be introduced this November 5th along with far corners of the MCU yet embarked upon in the decade long reign of Marvel Studios greatest endeavor.
