Halle Bailey to Perform on ABC’s “The Most Magical Story on Earth: 50 Years of Walt Disney World”
ABC is airing “The Most Magical Story on Earth: 50 Years of Walt Disney World” on October 1st as part of the kick-off for all of the 50th anniversary celebration events. It was just announced that Halle Bailey, the star of the upcoming live-action The Little Mermaid, will be performing “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” during the special.

“The Most Magical Story on Earth: 50 Years of Walt Disney World” will be hosted by Whoopi Goldberg, who just happens to be a Disney legend herself. She will host the incredible journey spanning a half-century of Walt Disney World. Christina Aguilera will also be performing for the special.
We will get to see how Disney World got its start in the swampland of Florida and how it has turned into a cultural phenomenon. We will also get to see never before seen footage that will give viewers a glimpse into the journey to bring Walt’s vision to life and a look at plans for the future.
Also during the special, you will see interviews from actors and actresses such as, John Stamos, Marsai Martin, Gary Sinise, Melissa Joan Hart, athletes such as Tom Brady, Phil Simms and Doug Williams, Cast members from Disney World, Disney Imagineers, including Bob Weis, Mark Kohl and Ann Morrow Johnson, and executives from past and present, including Bob Chapek, Bob Iger and Michael Eisner, who have played important roles at Disney World.

Viewers will get to see some of Walt Disney World’s most memorable pop-culture moments, from the many sitcoms that filmed episodes in the theme parks to the conception of the ubiquitous “I’m going to Disney World!” campaign.
