ICYMI: Disney World Honors Cast Members Of Past, Present and Future
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog this week, you’ll know that Disney World found a very special way to honor the incredible cast members at Disney World.
As Walt famously said, “You can dream, create, design and build the most wonderful place in the world…but it takes people to make the dream a reality.”
With less than two weeks to go until Disney World celebrates its 50th Anniversary, this seems like an opportune time to also celebrate the cast members who have kept the magic alive over the last five decades.
From those there on opening day to the cast members just beginning their journey with Disney, ever cast member is making memories for guests and fellow magic-makers.
As a special “Thank You” to cast members, last week, Disney World President Jeff Vahle as well as Global Ambassador for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” George Kalogridis joined cast members and revealed a special message that dedicated the Fab 50 Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse golden statues to the cast members of the “Past, Present and Future.”
This area, in the Plaza Garden, just in front of Cinderella Castle now provides a physical reminder of the impact the cast members have had when it comes to spreading some pixie dust at Disney World over the last 50 years!
For those lucky enough to be planning a 50th Anniversary visit to Walt Disney World, be sure to take time to check out the Mickey and Minnie Mouse Fab 50 statues along with the dedication plaque. These wonderfully detailed statues make the perfect self and you can even spice up your photos with special GIPHY stickers commemorating the occasion — just search “WDW50Cast” in Instagram stickers!
