Disneyland Roger Rabbit Ride Takes a New Turn
Disneyland’s Toontown refurbishments already offer guests much to look forward to with the construction of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway well underway. Now, Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin will also receive an enhancement with Jessica Rabbit taking a more pronounced role in the ride’s narrative.

According to the Orange County Register, the attraction will now put Jessica Rabbit centerstage in the storyline as she takes on the role of detective with a focus on stopping the Toon Patrol Weasels and their crime work.
Already, the ride replaced aspects of Jessica’s appearances with more appropriate and relevant scenes, specifically a scene early in the attraction.

“Some scenes in Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin featuring Jessica Rabbit are being updated to be more relevant and reflect a new twist in the character’s story within the attraction, according to Disneyland officials. A scene featuring Jessica Rabbit and the weasels with an automobile as well as the finale scene of Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin are being updated, according to Disneyland officials,” according to the OC Register article.
The enchancements at Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin follow a long-line of attractions receiving refurbishments to increase their cultural relevance. The Jungle Cruise and the Pirates of the Caribbean also received updates recently, and Splash Mountain will undergo a huge transformation sometime in the future.
The proposed Splash Mountain renovations will convert the ride to feature the storyline of “The Princess and the Frog,” following Tiana on her journey to return to her human state. During World Princess Week at the end of August, Disney imagineers and Walt Disney Animation cast members shared more details of what is to come for the popular plume ride.
