Painting Continues at “it’s a small world” in Magic Kingdom
If you’ve been following along with us here at MickeyBlog you’ll know that we’re spending the day at the Magic Kingdom!
For the past few weeks we’ve been sharing details with you of the colorful transformation that’s happening to the queue at “it’s a small world” and we popped by to see how things were coming along!
There’s definitely been more done since the last time we were there!
One of the most notable changes was to the area where the boats leave the queue and go into the attraction.
This has been given a vivid new paint job with bright hues of pink and purple and orange.
New lights are up and of course there’s glitter – lots and lots of glitter.
Decorations have also been added to give the area a 3D feel like the golden spire above the orange dome.
We really have to say that the updates to the façade are absolutely beautiful.
These pictures do not do these awesome updates justice.
From further back you can get a beautiful overview of all the beautiful colors and embellishments that have been added.
The golden windmill on the left hand side is also new since the last time we visited.
At the moment it looks like the work being carried out to this classic Fantasyland is primarily to the queue.
This is one of many projects Disney is completing before Disney World’s 50th Anniversary.
Other Magic Kingdom updates include Big Top Souvenirs, Mad Tea Party, Jungle Cruise and Main Street and Frontierland Railroad stations.
It looks like this particular project is nearing completion. However we’ll be back again this coming week and will keep you posted.
