Lightning Lane Signage Installed on Select Attractions in the Magic Kingdom
If you have been following along with us for the past few weeks, then you know that FastPasses are out and the new Disney Genie system is in! One component of the Disney Genie are Lightning Lanes. And, today at the Magic Kingdom, we saw that the new Lighting Lane signage was installed overnight at some attractions.
The first Magic Kingdom attraction where we saw the FastPass signs switched over to Lightning Lane access was the Tomorrowland Speedway.
We also saw the new signage over at “it’s a small world” and the Jungle Cruise.
Once the Disney Genie launches later this year, Guests will have three different ways to ride and experience their favorite attractions:
Disney Genie
All Guests will have access to the complimentary Disney Genie through the My Disney Experience app. This service allows you to plan your day by forecasting the lowest wait times for your favorite attractions and select a theme such as Disney Princesses or Star Wars so you can make sure to have the “Best Day Ever.”
Guests who use the Disney Genie without any upgrades will be able to access attractions at the Magic Kingdom and other Walt Disney World attractions through standby queues and virtual queues.
Disney Genie+
The Disney Genie+ is a paid upgrade to the Disney Genie service. This service allows you to pick attractions one at a time throughout your day and use the Lighting Lane to access those attractions putting you and your party to the front of the line with little to no wait times.
The Disney Genie+ upgrade is priced at $15 per ticket per day. A confirmed attraction in the Magic Kingdom that will offer Guests who purchase the Genie+ is the Haunted Mansion. It’s likely we will see “it’s a small world” and the Tomorrowland Speedway included too.
Individual Lighting Lane Passes
For the top tier, headliner attractions at each of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks, Guests will be able to purchase access to the Lighting Lane each day. Guests can purchase up to two attractions a day for individual Lightning Lane access.
In the Magic Kingdom, Disney has confirmed that the Individual Lightning Lane passes will be available for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Rise of the Resistance will available for Individual Lightning Lane Passes.
Remember, Guests will not need to purchase the Disney Genie+ or Individual Lighting Lane Passes to have access to these attractions. Standby queues and virtual queues will still be available.
