Greece is Hoping to Land on EPCOT’s World Showcase
EPCOT’s World Showcase is a beautiful area that consists of eleven pavilions themed to a different country. The pavilions are set around the gorgeous World Showcase Lagoon, and Greece is hoping to land a location.

The World Showcase Countries
Walt Disney World’s EPCOT theme park is located in sunny Orlando, Florida. Each pavilion in the World Showcase celebrates the culture, architecture, and cuisine of its specific country.
Currently, the World Showcase houses Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, the USA, Japan, Morocco, France, The United Kingdom, and Canada. However, Greece seeks a spotlight of its own!
In case you are curious, Norway was the last addition to the World Showcase. However, it opened on May 6, 1988; therefore, it has been quite a while since the addition of a new country.
Will Greece Join the Others?
The Greek Travel Pages reported on Wednesday that the Hellenic Electronics Center (HEC) launched an online petition. The petition gains support for a Greek pavilion at Walt Disney World’s World Showcase in EPCOT.
If the petition is successful, then Greece will join the other countries around the World Showcase Lagoon. I am confident that Guests from around the world would enjoy exploring Greek culture and flavors!
So far, more than 3,500 people signed the petition. Hence, Greece in the race for a new EPCOT location, along with countries like Brazil and South Korea.
Reportedly, there are several new spots open for potential pavilions at EPCOT. As the park grows with new attractions, such as Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Guests will thoroughly enjoy all EPCOT continues to offer.

Impressively, EPCOT had more than 12.4 million Guests in 2019. This number will likely increase as Walt Disney World Resort gears up for The World’s Most Magical Celebration.
