Ready to start getting in the holiday spirit? Then, I have just the thing! The Disneyland Resort has just confirmed the return of lots of holiday magic and joy as the holiday season will officially kick off on November 12, 2021 with plenty of cheer for all on each day through January 9, 2022 at Disneyland Park, California Adventure Park, and the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort, and the Downtown Disney District.
When you celebrate the holidays at the Disneyland Resort this year, you will be treated to the return of several holiday traditions including holiday-themed entertainment, yuletide treats, exclusive merchandise, shimmering decorations, and seasonal overlays on select attractions.

The Holidays at Disneyland Park
When you head to Disneyland Park this holiday season, you will notice see your first glimpse of holiday magic when you step on Main Street U.S.A and see the larger-than-life 60 feet tall Christmas Tree. Your heart will truly warm as you continue to make your way down Main Street U.S.A. and lay your eyes for the first time on Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle!
Popular festive entertainment is also returning to Disneyland Park this holiday season as “A Christmas Fantasy” parade featuring your favorite Disney characters and Santa Clause marches down Main Street U.S.A.

The Disneyland Resort transforms into the Merriest Place on Earth for the holiday season, Nov. 8, 2019, through Jan. 6, 2020. Among the merriment at Disneyland Park, Mickey, Minnie, Disney Princesses and Santa celebrate the season in “A Christmas Fantasy” parade, a daily procession with floats, music and marching “tin soldiers.” (Joshua Sudock/Disneyland Resort)
If you miss Santa in the parade, there’s no need to worry! I have it on good authority that he will also be popping up throughout the Park to send some holiday cheer to all good boys and girls.
To make sure your holiday time visit to Disneyland Park ends with a bang, much sure to stick around for “Believe… in Holiday Magic” fireworks spectacular! There is already reports of snow in the forecast on Main Street U.S.A. this holiday season!
I am also excited to announce for the 20th year, the holiday overlay of “it’s a small world” will be offered to all Guests as well as Haunted Mansion Holiday which is inspired by Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas!

The holiday magic at this Disneyland Resort also spills over to Disney California Park with the return of the Festival of Holidays!

If you are looking for some mouthwatering festive treats and cheerful beverages, a visit to Paradise Gardens is a must! Also make sure to stay for the live music and dance. And, later in the season, Mirabel from the upcoming film “Encanto” will park her first-ever park debut!
Make sure to plan to zoom over to Cars Land for even more holiday magic as the local residents have pulled out all the stops and ready to spread holiday cheer. Guests will spot everything from a snow-covered billboard at the entrance to a tree decorated with hubcaps at the courthouse. I personally can’t wait for all the “automotive ornamentation” along Route 66!
