VIDEO: Shaman of Songs Malfunctions on Na’vi River Journey
As anyone who has been to Pandora at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will tell you, the highlight of the Na’vi River Journey, one of two attractions in the Avatar-themed land is seeing the Shaman of Songs.

The shaman represents Disney animatronics and project mapping at it’s best. Seeing her so realistically chanting at the end of the rides is one of those “WOW” moments, a grand finale of sorts.
But, as with all Disney attractions, sometimes things to always run as smoothly as planned!
That’s precisely what happened when one of our awesome MickeyTravels agents, Erinn Mahoney, visited the ride earlier this week. Let’s just saw that her encounter with the Shaman of Songs wasn’t quite as mystical and magical as it usually is!
Fast-forward to the very end and you’ll notice that not only does she not exhibit her usual graceful movements but she also would appear to be faceless!
This is something we’ll see on occassion at Walt Disney World, everything has its glitches after all! It’s very common to see malfunctions on some of the older attractions like Carousel of Progress or Hall of Presidents. However, I think this is one of the only times we’ve heard of the Shaman malfunctioning.
