Review: Spooky Sprinkle Mickey Brownie at Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios’ classic Mickey-shaped brownie has received a colorful Halloween makeover! On a recent visit to Hollywood Studios, I was in the mood for something sweet- so naturally I turned my attention to the seasonal dessert offerings.

Located at the kiosk outside of the former Starring Rolls Cafe, this Halloween-inspired treat caught my eye. It’s a shareable desert at $4.50 that I was really hoping would succeed in quelling my chocolate craving. After unwrapping the little treat, I didn’t hesitate to dig in!

Mickey Brownie with Spooky Sprinkles

The Mickey-shaped brownie itself isn’t super dense when you break it apart; it actually feels and appears a bit airy. Although this isn’t a heavy and dense brownie, I found the consistency to be really chewy- the perfect brownie texture. The brownie itself packs a very chocolate-y punch. 

The spooky sprinkles added cute, festive, Instagram-worthy pops of color to the dessert. Aside from the ‘crunch’ of the sugary sprinkles though, they didn’t do anything to add (or take away from) the flavor of the brownie. 

I took my brownie over to Baseline Tap House to pair with a glass of their tapped Line 39 Cabernet. The dry red wine really enhanced the chocolate flavor of the dessert and, in my opinion, helped to bring this brownie to the next level. 

I will definitely be getting this brownie again and it earns my high recommend for kids and pickier eaters who might shy away from some of the more eclectic Halloween offerings. It’s a basic chocolate brownie with no frills, but sometimes that’s all you need to satisfy your sweet tooth. Verdict: definitely give it a try!
