BREAKING: Big Top Souvenirs Reopens Today at Magic Kingdom
Everyday is a great day to be at the Magic Kingdom, but today, the guests are in for an extra special suprise.
After a recent referbishment, Big Top Souvenirs reopened about an hour after park opening this morning.
Packed with fan-favorite desserts, Big Top is a must-do stop in Storybook Circus for delectable sweet treats, souvenir Mickey ears and collectable pins.
Known especially for their chocolate-covered appples, cookies and rice crispy treats, Big Top did not disappoint today in its reopening. The delicious sweet treats and slushy beverages make it a stellar stop midday after riding Dumbo the Flying Elephant or Barnstormer, Goofy’s hilarious take on a mini-coaster.
Famous for its array of dipped apples and cookies, today’s opening did not disappoint loyal fans.
A new chocolate chip, chocolate-dipped Mickey ear cookie even debuted, sold exclusively at Big Top Souvenirs.
The secret about the reopening did not stick for long with former cast members and guests lining up well before opening. Of course, MickeyBloggers were there as well.
Three former cast members, and clearly super awesome fans, of the Big Top Souvenirs popped by this morning, awaiting the reopening.
Not only will they be able to be the first to snag “the world’s tastiest treats,” they will also get enjoy the new “Treats and Seats” area. The new space is open, airy, and a great place to take an air-conditioned rest for a few minutes.
Big Top Souvenirs suffered a myriad of challenges in the past couple of years, with a fire in 2019 and then flooding that shut the popular spot down in 2020.
The recent renovations, however, mainly focused on updating the shop in honor of the “World’s Most Magical Celebration.”
Big Top’s Big Refurbishment
Beginning October 1st, the Walt Disney World Resort celebrates its 50th anniversary in an epic 18-month extravaganza.
Thought its welcoming signs still have not returned atop the doors, it’s nice to see Big Top back in action.
The fresh coat of bright paint certainly gives this area of Fantasyland a different feel than what we are used to throughout the rest of the refurbished spaces.
Despite the 50th anniversary’s deep blue hues and golden accents running throughout Castle Courtyard area of Fantasyland toward the Prince Charming Regal Carousel.
Big Top Souvenirs certainly adds a bit of storybook magic to the space with those out-of-a-fairytale delights.
They also boast a wealth of charming cast members too!
Make sure to pop by this delightful storefront during your next visit to Magic Kingdom. Storybook Circus is an area located just beyond the Mad Tea Party in Fantasyland.
