Gorr is one of the best villains in Marvel’s recent history, as his complexities and motivations make him one of the more beloved characters in Thor’s rogue’s gallery; and Christian Bale is the perfect choice to play him.
Gorr lived on a barren and unnamed planet where famine, starvation, and death were the immediate reality for all of his people; he watched his people have blind faith in helpless Gods and, after the death of his family, vows to kill every one of them.
After receiving a weapon from the Marvel villain Knull, Gorr tracks down Thor and attempts to kill him before he is rescued by Vikings; this begins their constant battling against one another.
Gorrs backstory makes him widely beloved and sympathetic; as these set photos reveal our first look at the Thor: Love and Thunder villain, we can already see this top-tier villain taking shape.
