‘Wonderful World of Animation’ to Light Up the Skies Above Disney’s Hollywood Studios Again Beginning This August
More nighttime spectaculars are returning to Walt Disney World! Disney has just confirmed that the “Wonderful World of Animation” will return to the skies above Disney’s Hollywood Studios beginning August 1, 2021!
When it returns, the “Wonderful World of Animation” nighttime spectacular will use projection mapping technology, just like it did in the past, to transform Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ flagship Chinese Theater into the backdrop of a magical journey through over 90 years of Disney animation.

In addition to the “Wonderful World of Animation” returning to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on August 1, 2021, another fan-favorite live offering is also confirmed to return next month as well!
The classic “Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage” will return to the Theater of the Stars on Sunset Boulevard beginning August 15!

Even more live entertainment is set to also return to both EPCOT and the Magic Kingdom as well in the month of August. Beginning August 8 at the Magic Kingdom, Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor will welcome Guests in for some live comedy.
And, the laughs don’t stop there! Turtle Talk with Crush will return to EPCOT beginning August 21, 2021!

Once the “Wonderful World of Animation” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios returns next month, this will the third nighttime spectacular to return to Walt Disney World since it was reopened last Summer after the extended COVID closure. Earlier this month on July 1, both “Happily Ever After” at the Magic Kingdom and “EPCOT Forever” made their triumphant return to the skies above Walt Disney World.
One of the nighttime spectaculars we are waiting on the most to return now is “Fantasmic.” Hopefully we will hear a return date soon!
