Tart and Sweet Appleseed Orchard Area Opens in Canada
The EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival kicked off late this morning. MickeyBloggers headed straight for this year’s mouth-watering kiosks. For those who start in Canada, the Appleseed Orchard Pours and Plates venue definitely tops the list of must-do stamps on that festival passport.
Perfectly located in a shady (and even air-conditioned) locale tucked away in the Canada pavillion, this booth does not skimp on tart and juicy favorites, including the absolutely delicious apple crumble tart.
For guests waiting a bit before diving into alcoholic beverages, Appleseed Orchard also provides a refreshing way to sip before noon with its tap-pulled Cinammon Apple Cider.
Appleseed Orchard’s main space actual sits inside of the Canada pavillion’s movie area, giving it ample room to handle the large crowds that visit during the festival.
We absoluletly love the images and fonts chosen for use on the big screens that usually provide sweeping images of the Canadian wilderness.
The decor of this pavillion never disappoints with its gardens and a full-blown waterfall. The new accents of fall shades and apples certainly adds to the ambiance.
KidCot Stop
The locale provides more than just scrumptous snacks and beverages. It also serves as the KidCot stop for the Canada pavillion.
KidCot Fun Stops add a great deal to any trip to the World Showcase for the younger crowd. There, the youngest foodies and global adventurers can learn a little bit more about the languages, cultures and customs of featured countries.
For first-time Fun Stop travelers, kids will want to grab a mini-suitcase. The relatively new plastic bag packaging certainly helps on rainy days to protect all of those treasures.
At each country, kids will pick up a card featuring facts relevant to each place. Trivia and activites regarding traditions and local culture definitely make great points for chit-chat later.
To find Appleseed Orchard, head to the right of the pavillion’s main stairs. Follow the Victoria Gardens walkway as if you are headed to Le Celier, the incredibly popular steakhouse nestled into the pavillion’s stonework.
The orchard area sits just inside of the building for “Canada Far and Wide in Circle-Vision 360,” a film-based attraction. Grab a beverage and then head out of the exit to the film to visit the KidCot Stop.
The EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival opened today for a 129-day run that extends through mid-November.
