Disney World Resort Series: Epcot Area Resorts
Ready to dig into the Epcot area resort hotels at Walt Disney World?
This area is my favorite location on property! It’s family-friendly, always lively, and extremely close to Hollywood Studios and Epcot.
So it’s the perfect spot to stay when visiting Walt Disney World!
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
I love the BoardWalk. It is perfect. This resort is definitely in my top 5 favorite Disney World hotels.

The resort itself is charming, and the BoardWalk area is complete with restaurant, shops, and entertainment. It’s like a park outside of the parks!
You’ll find more than 370 guest rooms, not including the villas attached to this location. Additionally, there are 6 garden suites, which are especially quaint and romantic.

Standard rooms at BoardWalk Inn can accommodate up to 5 guests plus one child under the age of 3.
The BoardWalk is just steps away from Epcot. It will take you less than 10 minutes to get there!
It’s also walkable to Hollywood Studios, but that’s about a mile away, so I recommend taking boat service there.
There’s also complimentary bus service available to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs.
Plus, when you’re done exploring the parks, you can head back to the pool at BoardWalk. It no longer features the infamous clown slide, which, truth be told, we kind of miss!
Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts
If you’re looking for the best pool area on property, you’ve found it at the Yacht & Beach Club Resorts.
So let’s start with Stormalong Bay. It’s one-of-a-kind!
This feature pool is a complete aquatic playground with themed waterslides, a lazy river, a kid-friendly shipwreck area, and a sand-bottom pool. There are 3 whole acres of pool area to explore!

Beyond the amazing pools, Yacht & Beach Clubs have over 1,400 rooms and 20 suites with Beach Club offering more than 275 villas. Standard rooms can accommodate up to 5 guests plus one child.
Curious as to dining options? One of the most popular restaurants on property is Beaches & Cream, which is located at Beach Club!
You’ll want to make reservations beginning 60 days in advance of travel as this location books up quickly!
It’s popularity is largely due to the famous kitchen sink ice cream sundae. I’ve never finished one on my own, but I think I might be up for the challenge.
Just like BoardWalk Inn, Yacht & Beach Clubs are walkable to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, while also providing boat service.
Guests can enjoy complimentary bus service to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs.
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
This is the only moderate resort located in the Epcot area – and it’s a great one!
Although not walkable to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Caribbean Beach is located on the Skyliner, so you’ll still be there in a jiffy.
Caribbean Beach is a large resort with over 1,500 guest rooms. Most rooms sleep up to 4 guests. But you can book a “5th Sleeper” room, which can accommodate up to 5 guests plus one child under age 3.
And it’s so colorful and fun!
This resort is a guest favorite for many reasons, including the magical feature pool, Fuentes del Morro Pool. This Spanish fortress themed pool includes two waterslides and whirlpools.
Better yet, there are five total leisure pools, so you can explore them all on your “off” day from the parks!
Another perk to this resort is the fun pirate-themed rooms, which are bookable under the “pirate room” category. Pirate fans will absolutely fall in love with the theming!
Just a note, though, that pirate rooms are located in the Trinidad area, which is a pretty good walk from just about everything. Also, pirate rooms feature two double beds vs. the queen-sized beds in the standard rooms.
Dining options include Sebastian’s Bistro and Centertown Market. As of today, Spyglass Grill is closed, but we hope it will reopen soon!
Disney’s Riviera Resort
The newest Epcot area resort is the beautiful Riviera Resort, which is a Disney Vacation Club property.

It is stunning! The theming and architecture is inspired by Europe and the Mediterranean.
There are more than 300 guest rooms, which include Tower Studios, Deluxe Studios, as well as 1-Bedroom, 2-Bedroom, and 3-Bedroom Grand Villas.
This means that you can stay here with as little as two guests or as many as 12 guests!
Something important to note is that Disney’s Riviera Resort opens for booking to DVC members before the general public. So some of the more popular categories, including the grand villa, can be challenging to book for non-DVC members.
This resort is classified as Deluxe, and the price tag reflects that. But we think it’s totally worth it!
For instance, the Deluxe Studios can sleep up to 5 guests plus one child under age 3, and they feature a split bathroom! That means that you can expect a shower with bathtub in one bathroom and a shower in the other bathroom.
This will make getting ready to explore the parks so much easier!
Want another reason to love Riviera? It’s located on the Skyliner! That means quick and easy access to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Bus service is available to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs.
Let’s talk dining. Riviera Resort is home to Topolino’s Terrace, which is one of the hottest restaurants on property.
At breakfast you’ll find Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy. At dinner you’ll find an upscale dining experience unlike any other.

Another fantastic aspect of this property are the pools!
The Riviera Pool has its own waterslide with the S’il Vous Play splash pad right next door.
If you’re thinking of visiting Epcot and Hollywood Studios during your Disney World stay, I recommend checking out one of these Epcot area resorts. They are equally magical!
