Walt Disney World Confirms the Return of Disney Dining Plans

As a Travel Agent, one of the most popular questions I receive these days is, “When will dining plans return?”

While I have been wondering the same thing for quite some time now, I am SO happy to report that Walt Disney World has just confirmed that dining plans WILL be returning sometime soon!

Here is the exact statement from Walt Disney World referencing the return of the dining plans:

Speaking of Disney Resort hotel stays, we know many of you are also wondering when Disney dining plan packages will return. While we’re not quite ready to share an update on timing, we are planning to bring this guest-favorite option back at a later date. We will also continue to reopen more Resort offerings, including restaurants like ‘Ohana (with the noodles!).

While an exact date is not known at this time, this statement gives me so much hope! In my opinion, I think that they will return just in time for “The World Most Magical Celebration” to kick off on October 1, 2021 – if not before.

Originally dining plans were suspended by Walt Disney World when the Parks and Resorts re-opened last Summer after the extended COVID-19 shutdown. Since then, we have all been sitting on pins and needles waiting for this exact announcement.

With Walt Disney World announcing the return of more and more restaurants pretty much every week, it’s only a matter of time before the exact date when dining plans will be offered again is announced.
