Beyond the World: Drinking around the Animal Kingdom
When most people think about a day of adult fun at the Walt Disney World resort, EPCOT usually comes to mind first in the world of theme parks. However, Disney’s Animal Kingdom certainly offers an eclectic set of libations as well.
Harambe Libations

If you head to Africa first, a stop at Dawa Bar in Harambe Village is a must. Located just outside of the recently re-opened Tusker House, Dawa offers a shaded bamboo area to enjoy African wines, beers, and themed specialty drinks. We especially like the Lost on Safari, a combination of rums and Pangani Punch, the signature punch of the establishment. For a sweeter choice, try the Ngumu Jungle Juice, which packs a peachy punch. The drink mixes Snow Leopard Vodka and Tusker House’s renowed Jungle Juice.
Pandorian Drink Delights

From there, head down the peaceful walkway that passes in front of Festival of the Lion King toward Pandora: The World of Avatar. Head straight to Pongu Pongu. The establishment, which is ran by an expat who decided to call Pandora home, makes the perfect stop for a cool midday beverage. For fans of hoppy beer, try the Hawkes’ Grog Ale, a fruity choice with just the right amount of peach and apricot to lighten things up.

If blended beverages more suit your style, Pongu certainly serves up one of the most creative frozen treats in all of Walt Disney World. The Rum Blossom blends Bacardi Superior Rum with alternating layers of Desert Pear Limeade and Apple slushi for a colorful treat. The Passion Fruit Boba Balls really make the drink the special treat that it is too!

If something citrusy sounds more appealing, try a Mo’ara Margarita. Even the color is on point for Pandora! Another solid way to snag some of those passion fruit Boba Balls, the frozen specialty blends Blue Curaçao, lime juice, and Sauza Conmemorativo Añejo Tequila.
Drinks on the Wild Side
On your way back around the Tree of Life, head for a snack at Flame Tree Barbecue where the villainy stuck around with the super tangy Rotten Apple. The red glow cube on top makes for a stellar souvenir! The icey drink uses Angry Orchard Crisp Apple Hard Cider as its base with a topper of Fireball and gummy worms.
