Harmonious Fireworks Testing Lights up the Sky
MickeyBloggers enjoying an evening at Gran Destino Tower got quite the surprise last night. They enjoyed an incredible testing of Harmonious, the new fireworks spectacular set to debut soon at EPCOT.
The rooftop at Gran Destino at the top of Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort always makes for a unique and awe-inspiring viewing spot, but last night’s preview really left viewers speechless.
The spectacle featured arrays of enormous fireworks that filled the sky with a rainbow of colors from a deep purple to bright blue and dazzling shades of reds.
Because of Gran Destitno’s incredible location and perch in the sky, viewers got a chance to see not only the largest fireworks, but also a variety that will provide drama and color closer to the water at World Showcase Lagoon.
Certainly, ooos and ahhs filled the rooftop terrace as the testing came to a roaring conclusion with an enormous variety of pyrotechnics illuminating the entire area.
Guests already preview the enormous fountains key to the new show, as they are permanently placed in the World Showcase Lagoon. The massive waterworks help to provide the new show’s choreographed water features that will use LED panels, lights, and lasers to enhance the spectacle.
Harmonious is set to debut sometime this year and celebrates the role of Disney music in inspiring people around the world. Originally, Harmonious was set to premiere in Spring 2021, but Disney delayed the date due to COVID restrictions.

Billed as one of the largest nighttime spectaculars ever designed for a Disney theme park, Harmonious showcases the images and soundtracks of Disney classic films. Cultural musicians and global artists will bring the score to life in original and inspiring ways.
The new show permanently replaces IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, which completed its run at the park in 2019. Epcot Forever replaced that show temporarily in late 2019 before closing during the pandemic.
