We were excited to announce the return of the Disney College Program this fall to Walt Disney World. Applicants are already starting to see they have been accepted as of a couple of weeks ago.

Starting this summer, participants will be the first to live in Disney’s newest housing community, Flamingo Crossings Village. This incredible, state-of-the-art complex will surely dazzle and delight participants, adding to the holistic Disney Programs experience. The apartment complex offers a variety of amenities, including a resort-style pool, study areas, and fitness facilities!

The Disney College Program participants have started receiving emails in regards to housing and roommate situations.

The email states:
In order for College Program to place a College Program participant with a preferred roommate(s), all individuals will need to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to arrival.

In order for any participant to have a preferred roommate(s), they both/all must be vaccinated. There was no mention in the email about participants who decided not to get the vaccination.

When Disney announced the return of the Disney College Program, they stated this as well:
Similar to what we’ve done to help reduce risk in our theme parks and resorts, we are also putting in place a combination of measures for our participants. Participants will receive pre-arrival communication regarding our enhanced safety measures, including updates that promote physical distancing, required face coverings in all common areas, and a new contactless, curbside move-in experience. Like many colleges and universities, we’re also modifying the occupancy of our units, giving fully vaccinated participants the opportunity to live with other fully vaccinated participants.

Participants from last year who had their program cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic got first dibs on applying for the start-up of the Disney Colege Program. These participants generally make up over 10,000 of the Cast Member staff.
