Snow White Gets Her Happily Ever After With ‘Enchanted Wish’ Ride
Tomorrow is the day Disney friends- Snow White’s Enchanted Adventure officially opens at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim! One of Disneyland’s original dark rides, Snow White’s Scary Adventure has been replace with something a bit more “happily ever after.” Snow White’s Enchanted Wish will feature brand new scenes featuring Snow White, the Seven Dwarfs, woodland creatures, the Prince and even the Evil Queen (though not as prominently this time around!.)
“The Snow White attraction has such a rich history,” said Kim Irvine, Disneyland Resort creative executive, Walt Disney Imagineering. “We wanted to take into account the beautiful scenic work that has always existed and retell the story in a special way. We believe guests will enjoy this sweet storyline in a stunning experience.”
Incredible details went into the latest version of this Fantasyland attraction. State-of-the art audio and visual technology was used and new music was created. The ride also now includes LED black lighting, laser projections and a brand new animation system. Disney also shared that more than 50 new animal sculptures have been added throughout the ride!

As you can see from the Instagram post above, the ride even got a new etching above the entrance door! In addition, you can see that the facade of the ride has been updated to be a little less foreboding. It now features warmer pinks, lighter blues and gold colors that complement nearby Sleeping Beauty Castle. Ornamental birds, flowers and butterflies bring the whole area to life!
Once on board, be on the lookout for Happy, Doc and Grumpy as you meander through this retelling of the beloved Disney film. New voice recordings of the dwarfs Happy and Grumpy were even added to the ride in both English and Spanish!
Heigh-Ho its off we go! as guests board a mine train that takes you on a journey starting at the dwarf’s cozy cottage. Take a deep breath and see if you can smell Doc’s freshly baked apple pie while Dopey shares a dance with Snow White!
Then it’s on to a dazzling mine scene which comes to live with new lighting effects and glistening jewels. See if you can find Doc examining a jewel, Grumpy hoisting a pick and Dopey grinning from inside a mine cart!

As you can see from the Instagram post above, the Evil Queen does still appear in the attraction surrounded by her spell books, bubbling flasks of colorful potions and a glowing cauldron. We think you’ll agree that she is looking sinister as ever.
Let’s delve a bit deeper shall we with this Full Ride POV shared on Theme Park Shark. Be sure to hit their “Like” button as a “Thank You!”
We love how the ride concludes with Snow White being awakened by her slumber after the Prince kisses her! Before you know it she is reunited with her animal friends and heads to her golden castle! Snow White’s new “happily ever after” means that you’ll exit the ride with a smile on your face!
One question I’ve been asked a few times is if the Evil Queen can still be spotted peering from the upper windows above the ride’s entrance and according to Disney the answer is yes!
