Waiting In Anticipation For The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover To Open
Earlier this week, Walt Disney World President Jeff Vahle took to Instagram to announce that the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover in the Magic Kingdom would be reopening to guests after a year long hiatus!
Yesterday Disney Parks Blog even teased this image of Stitch waving from the ride!
With that in mind, MickeyBlog is at Magic Kingdom bright and early in the hopes that we’ll be among the first to enjoy this much-loved ride!
Here’s a quick look at what the weekend crowds are looking like these days.
Once in, We headed straight over to Tomorrowland!
We are excited to say that we are currently 6th in line for the ride should it reopen today!
Things were pretty quiet at PeopleMover this morning with some testing of the ride going on by staff.
We definitely had the feeling that things should be up and running today!
Cast members stationed at the ride did tell us that an afternoon reopening was likely.
However, it wasn’t long after we were standing in line that maintenance crews arrived on the scene.
The team went to the upper platform and appeared to be working on the control panel
You can see them hard at work with blueprints in hand.
We are hoping that it is merely a minor kink in what is sure to be a wonderful opening.
We are staying on the scene on this Sunday morning and promise to keep you updated as and when we know more.
