All-Star Movies Now OPEN!
We’ve got some AWESOME news to start your Disney-filled week. For those following along with MickeyBlog you’ll know that Disney’s All Star Movies Resort was one of Walt Disney World’s value resort properties that remained closed when the theme parks reopened last June. However, all of that changed as of today!
This beloved family-friendly property has once again opened its doors to guests and we couldn’t be any more excited! All-Star Movies was one of a handful of resorts with a delayed reopening. You can check out the official list below:
If you’re looking for a fun-filled Disney resort that won’t break the bank, All-Star Movies consistently comes out tops with Disney fans! To give you a taste of what this property has to offer, here are 5 reasons why we love it so:
Fantasia Themed Pool Area
The central area of All-Star Movies is themed after Disney’s beloved classic film Fantasia including the pool area. This area is brimming with family fun including a Sorcerer Mickey water feature which takes pride of place at the pool’s center island! There’s also a kiddie pool and a water play are offering hours of amusement for kids of all ages!
Newly Reimagined Rooms
The rooms at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort have recently been given an overhaul and are simply delightful. All rooms feature lots of space saving features including one queen bed and one queen pull down bed. The second bed actually folds up into a table during the day allowing families to easily move about the room! They’re amazing!
All rooms also come with a host of awesome amenities including coffee maker, mini fridge, vanity area and tub/shower.

Toy Story Section
If you’re little ones prefer Pixar over Princesses then you’ve come to the right place. All-Star Movies has it’s own popular Toy Story section that is truly something magical! The minute you walk through the doorway marked Andy’s Room, you know that you’ve arrived someplace truly special. The courtyard makes you feel like you’re the size of one of the toys in Andy’s room with towering replica’s of Woody and Buzz as you walk past giant checker boards, wooden blocks and more! This is the perfect property for those looking for a Toy Story themed getaway including a visit to Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Other films & shows are well represented here including Fantasia, 101 Dalmatians, Herbie the Lovebug and The Mighty Ducks.
World Premiere Food Court
Its nice to know when you’re planning a stay that you’ve got reliable food options handy. During my numerous stays at All Star Movies, World Premiere Food Court has always been a trustworthy option whether for breakfast or for a bite after a long day at the theme parks! The Food Court offers up a nice variety of options. For breakfast you’ll find everything from Mickey-shaped waffles to coffees and muffins on-the-go. Lunch and dinner offerings include wraps, burgers, pizza, pasta and more!
Price
But let’s be honest, by far the best thing about a stay at All-Star Movies is that you get all of these awesome features, amenities and Disney magic at a price-point that is easy on the wallet. Disney World’s All-Star properties are the entry-level Disney resorts when it comes to cost and though they don’t benefit from being on the Skyliner route like Art of Animation or Pop Century, they make up for it in cost. Stays here start at about $150 a night making it a perfect option for those looking for Disney theming and a comfy place to rest at the end of a long theme park day!
