LEGO Riviera Resort Model Debuts at Disney Springs
Back in December, MickeyBlog told you about an amazing LEGO replica of the Riviera Resort. The impressive model was constructed by LEGO Master Model Builders to celebrate the resort’s first anniversary. We have now seen it for ourselves, as the model has been unveiled at the Disney Vacation Club Kiosk at Disney Springs Marketplace. Let’s take a look!
Details
You can see the grand Riviera courtyard with it’s signature palm trees and Mediterranean-themed pools. The courtyard is surrounded by many of the Resort’s 300 balconies. If you look closely, you will even see the feature pool waterslide and signature RR monogram!
Below you can see the view of the central tower above the roof of the Resort’s entrance gazebo.
And down below you are greeted with Disney hospitality and Bell Services! A few guests are milling around the entrance. We love these tiny details!
Up on the roof, we see Mickey and Minnie greeting guests from the terrace of Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera rooftop restaurant!
It looks like some waiters are also delivering yummy pastries to a table! Up close, you can see the blue awnings, windows and porch of the restaurant.
Our very favorite detail of this intricate model is the inclusion of the Skyliner! You can see two Skyliner gondolas on the side of the resort and a few guests strolling below. Hello up there, Disney Guest!
A sign on top of the display encourages guests to check out Disney Vacation Club to “Stay Magical Year After Year!”
Impressive Endeavor
Building the 84 X 66 inch replica was no easy feat. LEGO Master Model Builders spent over 300 hours designing and assembling the intricately detailed model which weighs an impressive 100 pounds and contains over 45,000 LEGO pieces.
