Photo Tour of Gran Destino Tower King Bed Room
Welcome back to Part 2 of the Resort Room Photo Tour Series! I started this series because I know first-hand that when planning a Walt Disney World vacation, choosing the right Resort for you and your family can seem very daunting.
With so many price categories, themes, locations, and room layouts available, it can be really tough to start narrowing down your favorites. I’m hoping to help you make that choice easier with this article series, and I highly recommend checking out my Photo Tour of a Walt Disney World Dolphin Room if you haven’t already!
Gran Destino Tower
Gran Destino Tower is considered a Moderate Resort…and to this day I can’t understand how! Perhaps it’s because the massive, immaculate, breathtaking new Gran Destino Tower is located on the Coronado Springs Property, but everything from the gorgeous lobby to the sprawling grounds to the room make this Resort anything BUT ‘Moderate’!
Let’s start with the room itself. I love that each Gran Destino room features laminate flooring (no old gross carpets here!) and very stark, clean lines in the chosen furniture.
Since the Tower is so new, it’s got all the bells and whistles we expect from Deluxe Resort and newly refurbished rooms…but at that coveted ‘Moderate’ pricetag!
Every detail- from USB ports in the bedside lamps to personal reading lights in the headboard to a brand-new Keurig- has been implemented and executed to a level of perfectionism expected at a high-end hotel.
Split Bathroom
A split bathroom is always a great feature to have when traveling with a family!
The set-up allows for one person to be using the toilet room while someone else uses the sink or showers.
The glass shower features a waterfall effect and a separate hand sprayer! The best part is, a sliding barn door can separate the entire sing/bathroom/shower area for complete privacy when desired!
Gran Destino was built with conventioneers in mind after all, so the ample work space in each room makes this Resort a great choice for someone who may have to spend part of their vacation working.
The desk features a lamp complete with outlets and USB’s to keep your devices fully charged while you power through your work day.
I certainly wouldn’t need any convincing to hang back and get some work done if I had this sprawling view out my window!
Featuring views of the entire Coronado Springs Resort buildings, Three Bridges, The Dig Site Pool, and even Animal Kingdom off in the distance, this is hands-down my favorite view yet!
Each and every aspect of the Gran Destino Tower rooms have been artfully built (did you notice the intricate wallpaper, textured head board, and even the gorgeous painting in the bathroom?) and I think the Tower is a great place to stay for families with older children or adults who value a phenomenal room and fantastic amenities over a Disney theme.
It’s also a great Resort to consider if you do have to work while vacationing, or if you are planning to spend any amount of time at your Resort! Like I said, Gran Destino Tower truly has all of the perks of a Deluxe Resort at a Moderate Resort price, and for that alone it truly can’t be beat!
