Light of the Jedi: Good Reviews for High Republic Debut
The High Republic is the perfect time to try a Star Wars book….
Star Wars fan? Love The Mandalorian? Yeah, me too.
And how about the recent Star Wars books? Wait, what?! You don’t read or listen to them? Well, you are missing out.
Seriously, you should try them. Especially the audio books. And now is just a good a time as any.
The High Republic: Light of the Jedi
The first novel from a new series, an era-forging prequel era set many years before Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, is on shelves and digital.
Full disclosure, I have not read the tome, YET. My audible points don’t arrive until next week. However, I was heartened to hear that so many of my favorite stops on the Internet really enjoyed it.
Digital Spy’s Sam Warner reported:
Star Wars seems to be on a bit of a hot streak at the moment, what with the strong reception to The Mandalorian season 2 and the gazillion new projects coming our way.
And it looks like we can count the upcoming High Republic series of comics, novels and magazines as a winner too, at least going by the reviews of its first outing.
Sam added excerpts from reviews including:
Digital Spy
Light of the Jedi is an action-packed and very promising start to the new High Republic era of Star Wars…”
Screen Rant
The galaxy [Soule] introduces feels familiar and yet different, gripping in a way that’s absolutely thrilling…”
CNET
This story is suitably epic, with the Great Disaster feeling like a pivotal moment in history on the scale of the Death Star’s destruction in A New Hope…”
We’ve posted about the “Great Disaster” and other High Republic details right here on MickeyBlog.com:
