Disney Cruise Line Shares Sneak Peek Of NEW Ship- Disney Wish
With all of the celebrating during Christmas Day, you may have missed a magic new reveal from Disney Cruise Line! During ABC’s “Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Celebration” viewers were treated to a brand-new video showing the newest addition to the Disney Cruise Line fleet- Disney Wish!
This brand new cruise ship is slated to set sail in summer of 2022 and let me just say that I was so blown away by yesterday’s teaser that I’m still talking about it!
Laura Cabo, Portfolio Creative Executive for Walt Disney Imagineering had this to say about the new ship, “Daring to dream even bigger, our Imagineers are creating a breathtaking new world of enchantment aboard the Disney Wish. Upon arrival, families will step into the Grand Hall, a veritable castle on the seas rising 3 decks in height and literally shimmering with regal details. Inspired by classic Disney fairytales, this space will serve as the majestic heart of the ship, welcoming and delighting all ages and setting the tone for a magical voyage ahead.”
In the never-before-seen digital clip revealed yesterday, viewers are taken into the Grand Hall for a first look at the stunning character statue at the base of the grand staircase (pictured above.) We are pleased to reveal that Cinderella will have pride of place in the lobby which is only fitting given that this iconic Disney Princess has inspired generations to believe in the power of their own wishes.

As you can see from the renderings above, the Grand Hall draws its inspiration from the beauty of the fairytale castle. Not only does this central area make a bold welcoming statement but it sets the tone for a family vacation aboard the Disney Wish that is sure to be nothing short of enchanting.
The Disney Wish is the first of three new ships that Disney Cruise Line will be unveiling through 2025. Each of the new additions to Disney’s fleet will be powered by liquefied natural case and will come in at 144,000 gross tones with 1,250 staterooms. This means that they will be slightly larger than the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy.
