Bob Iger Teases Black Panther Tribute on Disney+ Tonight

For fans of Marvel’s Black Panther, its worth noting that the film is one of the many incredible Marvel movies you’ll find on Disney+, Disney’s official streaming network.

Earlier today, former Disney head Bob Iger took to twitter to announce that the film would also include some added features starting “late” tonight. Take a look at his tweet below:

To all fans of #BlackPanther: watch the film on #DisneyPlus late tonight, for a special tribute to someone that was and will always be near and dear to our hearts.

Though iger keeps it intentionally vague, we can only guess that it is to pay tribute to the incredible Chadwick Boseman who passed away this past August after a three year battle with colon cancer. The news shocked the world and at the time, Disney-owned ABC did run a special screening of Black Panther complete with a touching tribute to Boseman. You can find the tweet announcing the tribute below:

We suspect, that Disney has made the decision to start airing the tribute as part of the Black Panther film and we are here for it. Boseman, was an incredible talent and brought such strength and dignity to the role of Black Panther that it is only fitting that fans and those seeing Black Panther for the first time, have a way to remember the life and work of Boseman.
