The Newsstand Now In Place at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog then you may have seen our report on the changes that are coming to EPCOT in the year ahead including the exciting new addition of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at the France Pavilion.
When EPCOT’s new Ratatouille-themed ride opens in 2021 it will also introduce visitors to a new expanded section of the France Pavilion.
The original France Pavilion will still have all of the eateries and shops you’ve come to know and love. However, once you walk through the iron gate into the Ratatouille section of the park, you’ll be transported to a Paris seen through the eyes of Remy the rat.
Lots of fun Parisian details are being incorporated into this new section including a central fountain, park benches, a creperie and a newsstand.
It is the newsstand, (you know the ones you see near the metro stations in Paris) that is the subject of these awesome images taken by our MickeyBlogger today.
During a trip on the monorail this afternoon, we were excited to see the newsstand in place and team members hard at work in bringing the streets of Paris to life in EPCOT.
Like all things Disney, it is the little details like the ironwork on the top of the news stand that really give guests a sense of place.
One of our favorite details is also the classic French-style hotel sign found on the lamppost!
We can’t wait to see even more of this exciting new area come to life in the weeks ahead.
We also wonder what visitors will find at the newsstand? Will it be a retail outlet? Will it sell Ratatouille souvenirs? Parisian newspapers? We can’t wait to find out!
