Shining Shimmering Splendid, Magic Kingdom’s New Signage Pays Tribute To 50th Anniversary
One of the first things visitors see as they visit the property is the theme parks whimsical arches. Traditionally, this iconic sign featured a light blue and white colorway.
However, this is being changed to tie it in with the recent transformation of Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom as well as the logo Disney World recently unveiled to celebrate the theme parks 50th Anniversary.
This upgrade features a dark Royal Blue background.
The letters are being changed to an almost rose-gold colorway.
And the central castle icon has been given an almost blue to pink ombre design.
This adds an extra bit of whimsy to your Magic Kingdom arrival and is similar to the new blue, golden and pink color story of Cinderella Castle.
We imagine that this will be VERY similar to the the colors that will appear on many of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary merchandise coming out next year.
As you can see from the image above, the entrance hasn’t been entirely completed. During our visit to Magic Kingdom today we noticed that the far right side still needs to be painted.
According to reports upgrades can be expected to the main Walt Disney World car entrance as well.
There’s no word yet on when this project will be completed.
However, this is a story that we’ll continue to following closely and we promise to keep you updated as we know more!
