Halloween Happenings are Coming to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort at Walt Disney World This Year
The spirit of Halloween still lives at Disney’s Fort Wilderness this year! In “normal” times, this wilderness-themed resort mostly has the most Halloween happenings of any of the other Walt Disney World Resorts. And, I am happy to report this year, is no different!
On Halloween, Guests at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground are invited to participate in the golf cart and campsite decorating contests as well as a pet costume contest and pumpkin carving contest. A few COVID-19 modifications will be in place for all of the events, but there is still tons of magic to be had!

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort will also offer a new spellbinding pumpkin scavenger hunt for ghouls and goblins of all ages. Guests are also invited to decorate their own mini pumpkin.
While there are still plenty of magical Halloween experiences at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort this year, based on guidance of health authorities including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), trick-or-treating will not be permitted. Disney also requests that activities and gatherings be limited to those in your travel party and practice social distancing.

In addition to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, there is also plenty of other Halloween happening around the Walt Disney World Resort. At the Magic Kingdom, Guests of all ages are invited to wear their Halloween costumes at any time of the day until Halloween night. While at the Magic Kingdom, Guests are also treated to pop-up Halloween Cavalcades featuring Jack, Sally, and Oogie Boogie from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas as well as one featuring the iconic Disney Villains. You might also see Mickey and his pals pop up in their Halloween Costumes on top of the Main Street U.S.A. Train Station!
