Mira, Royal Detective Is Making An Appearance At Hollywood Studios This Weekend

We’ve got a special treat for all you Disney Junior fans visiting the theme parks this weekend! Disney shared the news via Facebook that Mira, Royal Detective will be a part of the character cavalcades at Disney’s Hollywood Studios this weekend.

For those unfamiliar, Mira, Royal Detective is a hit Disney Junior show that follows Mira, a commoner in her village,  who is appointed to be the queen’s royal detective.  This sets her off on a whole host of mystery-solving adventures and is a great way to teach tiny tots all about critical thinking and deductive reasoning.  The series is also a celebration of the cultures and customs of India. 

Each episode of Mira, Royal Detective comes in at 11-minutes and incorporates awesome Indian inspired elements including fashion, art, music, cuisine, language and more! The episodes also feature original song and dance numbers which really convey as sense of the diversity of South Asian culture.  

MIRA, ROYAL DETECTIVE – Set in the magical Indian-inspired land of Jalpur, the series follows the brave and resourceful Mira, a commoner who is appointed to the role of royal detective by the queen and travels throughout her kingdom to help royals and commoners alike. (Disney Junior)

This diversity can also be seen through the incredible cast which includes an all-star ensemble of South Asian actors including newcomer Leela Ladnier, who voices the title role; Freida Pinto; Kal Penn; Utkarsh Ambudkar; Hannah Simone; Jameela Jamil; Aparna Nancherla; Aasif Mandvi; Karan Soni; Maulik Pancholy; Sarayu Blue and Sarita Choudhury.
