Some Disney World Employees Getting A Pay Increase Says Local Union
This has been a week of not-so-magical Disney news with the announcement that the company would be laying off over 28,000 domestic theme park employees and that Disneyland and the state of California are still not able to reach a resolution when it comes to reopening the parks. That’s why we’re happy to pass on some good news.
According to union Local 737 Disney World which represents many resort employees as well as Food & Beverage workers at Walt Disney World, many of their members are getting a pay increase.
The Union posted an announcement on Facebook today (which we’ll share below) announcing that the following raises have gone into effect:
- $16 minimum for Housekeeping
- $14 minimum for Food & Beverage Workers.
In the statement, Local 737 revealed that 9,000 Housekeeping and Food & Beverage workers are eligible for the increase. See the post below.
