Rick Moranis Attacked In New York
We’ve got a sad story about one of Disney’s most beloved dads. Honey I Shrunk the Kids actor Rick Moranis was involved in an unprovoked attack on a New York City street in broad daylight yesterday.
According to a video released by NYPD20th Precinct which we’ll share below, an unidentified assailant, hit Moranis while walking down the street in Central Park West.

According to reports, Moranis went to the hospital with head, back and hip pain but once discharged reported the incident to the local police.

There was a lot of buzz a few months back about Moranis returning to the screen as part of a Honey I Shrunk The Kids remake that Josh Gad was also reportedly working on. This was HUGE news given that Moranis famously took a lengthy break from acting to raise his children after his wife died of cancer back in 1997.
Though movement on the project which would once again see Moranis in the Role of Wayne Szalinski has stalled due to the COVID-19 crisis Moranis has recently appeared in a commercial for Ryan Reynolds’ Mint Mobile phone service last month. You can check it out below:
And last but not least, the attack on Moranis did not go unnoticed by his fellow actors. Captain America himself, Chris Evans, took to Twitter to say of the incident, “My blood is boiling. Find this man. You don’t touch Rick Moranis.”
