Kristin Baver Brought All The Star Wars Stories To This Week’s Show
Reporting from home, the Ginger Jedi again had many cool things up the sleeves of her, well, bathrobe.
As COVID-19 lockdown continues in California, Kristin Baver brought “The Baver Bunch” much Star Wars goodness via “This Week! In Star Wars.”
And what a week it was!
A New Lightsaber from Star Wars: The High Republic, Building The Mandalorian’s Ship, and More!
This week, we pull back the curtain on the modern-day magicians at ILM as they build the Razor Crest from The Mandalorian, take a look at Jedi Master Stellan Gios’s lightsaber from the upcoming Star Wars: The Lightsaber Collection book, and get excited for Mando Mondays. Plus, step back to 2004 when the original trilogy was released for the first time on DVD.
So you’ve watched the video and now you want more, huh.
Well, the good folks at StarWars.com have got you covered.

“Internally, we often refer to the Jedi of this era as ‘the Jedi Knights of the Round Table.’ Taking that idea one step further, their sabers can be viewed as their own versions of Excalibur.” Read more here…

StarWars.com’s Dan Brooks explained:
Industrial Light & Magic, the visual effects house of Lucasfilm, released a new mini-documentary called Inside ILM: Creating the Razor Crest, which tells the story of how ILM built and shot a model of the Mandalorian’s hulking vessel. With the advent of digital technology, models have been used less and less frequently over the years — though respect for the artistry and craft always remained at ILM and Lucasfilm. Read More…
