Will Disney Revive X-Men The Animated Series?
Legendary. And revered. X-Men: The Animated Series remains a touchstone for an entire generation of Marvel fans.
Back in January, Marvel.com’s Robyn Belt wrote of the series:
It could’ve been you. You may have been one of those kids, teens, or cartoon-loving adults, eagerly awaiting your Saturday morning fix. For a half hour, it became ritual. And part of that ritual was waiting an entire week for last episode’s cliffhanger to drop.
And, if the showrunner for the seminal series has a say, the ritual will return.
X-Men To Return?

X-Men: The Animated Series
Recently, semi-retired Larry Houston — the series producer for the original run (1992 – 1997, 76 episodes) — told the virtual crowd at “Wizard World” that he’d but up for a return.
“We’ve had talks, but that’s about it,” Houston said (as reported by ComicBook.com).
“We’ve made conversation and it’s up to them to make the decision, but we’ve let them know that we’re all available for whatever they want to do in the future.”
Hope For More Animated X-Men
Now, this seems hopeful at best.
There are a whole lot of creatives waiting for that call from The Mouse.
However, vocal fans — and the series’ cast — have wished for the return of animated X-Men for some time.
The voice actor who played Beast, George Buza (as reported by MovieWeb.com) said the original cast would “all love to do it.”
Watch!
Currently, the original series is on Disney Plus.
It debuted with much hoopla in April:
ComicBook.com also added:
The original series brought together Wolverine, Beast, Cyclops (Norm Spencer), Storm (Iona Morris and Alison Sealy-Smith), Jean Grey (Catherine Disher), Rogue (Lenore Zann), Gambit (Chris Potter and Tony Daniels), and Jubilee (Alyson Court) as a team of mutants assembled by Professor Charles Xavier (Cedric Smith), who led the superheroes in protecting a world that hates and fears them.

Finally, what do you think? Would you like to see a return to the story and style of the old series? Or would you prefer something totally new?
