Man Creates Disneyland Replica with LEGOS
Colony, Texas native, John Daugherty, has always been a huge fan of Disney and building LEGO sets. He has been working on this project for 3 years now, ever since the Cinderella Castle LEGO set was released in 2017.

“That was when I decided I’d make my own Disneyland,” Daugherty said. “All those sets could be put together and make a miniature version of the park.”

Daughtery has spent over 300 hours building 25 different LEGO sets to add to his own little version of Disneyland. Including Main Street U.S.A., Pirates of the Caribbean, and Mickey and friends.

“It’s kind of like my therapy, just a fun thing to do,” Daugherty said. “It’s very zen.”
Daughtery has been keeping his LEG sets tucked away in a bedroom or closet. But with a little convincing to his wife Bonnie, he moved his masterpiece to the family’s dining room.
“She tolerates my hobby,” Daugherty laughed. “Thought if there was a time to bring it all out, it was during a quarantine.”
