Disney World Park Passes Open Up For Passholders Today and Opening Weekends Already Sold Out
Walt Disney World Theme Park passes officially opened up to Annual Passholders and according to a piece in the Orlando Sentinel, spots for opening weekend at the theme parks were nabbed up quickly this morning.
Shortly after passes opened up to passholders, the online system was showing no availability of passes on July 11th which is the opening day for the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom.
The Sentinel reports that as of 8am this morning (Friday, June 26th) not only was opening day sold out but the first four days of reopening as well as the following weekend (July 18th and 19th.) As we previously reported here at MickeyBlog Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios reopen on July 15th. By 8:30 am this morning all slots for opening day at both parks were gone.
Disney introduced the concept of theme park passes as part of their phased reopening plans. Under the new system, all visitors including annual passholders, resort guests and single ticket buyers MUST have park pass reservations for each day you plan on visiting the parks. This is is in addition to your tickets and you will not be able to enter the parks without a reservation. Annual passholders are initially allowed to book up to three days worth of reservations.
The park passes opened up for resort guests on Wednesday (June 24th) and will open up on Sunday to all of those with valid Walt Disney World tickets. Park Pass reservations can be made at disneyworld.com. Park passes are available to book through September 26, 2021 and it is recommended that qualifying guests book passes in as soon as possible to ensure you’re able to visit the theme parks of your choice during your visit.
As of going to print, park hopping is not available at the parks. As the phased reopening progressions, visitors to Disney World can expect further changes to the system. Keep following along with MickeyBlog to stay up to speed on the latest news and developments.
