“Secret Society of Second-Born Royals” Will Be Available On Disney+ On July 17
We’ve got some news your tweens are sure to love! Disney+ just announced that the new live-action original movie Secret Society of Second-Born Royals will be available on Disney+ beginning on Friday, July 17th.
The film will star Peyton Elizabeth Lee from Andi Mack as Sam who is second-in-line to the throne in her kingdom of Illyria. While her older sister Eleanor is preparing to be queen, Sam wants to create her own legacy and is happier rocking out with her bandmate and best friend Mike rather than performing official royal duties.
Sam’s rambunctious behaviour leads Queen Catherine to send her to a Summer boarding school where she and four other teens Tuma, Roxana, January and Matteo discover that the have super-human abilities from genetic traits attributed only to second-born royals. The characters are invited into a secret society so that they might continue its longstanding tradition of keeping the peace.
Secret Society instructor James (Skyler Astin) helps the second-born royals harness their new superpowers. But do they have what it takes to save the world?

Starring alongside Lee and Astin are Olivia Deeble (Home and Away) as Roxana; Niles Fitch (This is Us) as Tuma; Faly Rakotohavana (Raven’s Home) as Matteo; Isabella Blake Thomas (Once Upon A Time) as January; Elodie Yung (Daredevil) as Queen Catherine; Ashley Liao (Always Be My Maybe) as Eleanor; Noah Lomax (Trial By Fire) as Mike; and Greg Bryk (Handmaid’s Tale) as the villainous Inmate 34.

Anna Mastro (Marvel’s Runaways, The Bold Type) directs Secret Society of Second-Born Royals, which is executive produced by Zanne Devine (I, Tonya), Mike Karz (Valentine’s Day), and Austin Winsberg (Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist) with Juliana Janes (Butter) serving as co-producer. Alex Litvak (Masters of the Universe) and Andrew Green (Hannah Montana) wrote the teleplay based on an original story by Litvak, Green, and Winsberg.
