New 60-Day Dining Window and Suspended Extra Magic Hours and FastPasses
On the heels of Disney announcing that they will be canceling all existing dining reservations, including Disney dining plans booked on reservations, we have now found out that will also shift from a 180-day booking window to a 60-day booking window for dining and experience bookings going forward to allow Guests to make their plans closer to their visits. Essentially to wipe the system clean and start fresh allowing them to limit capacity accordingly.
Also, as a result of the COVID-19 impact, the FastPass+ service will be suspended for the time being as Disney plans to use additional queue space to manage capacity at attractions and maintain physical distancing. Disney will automatically cancel existing FastPass+ selections and share any future updates on the service at a later date. Also, please note that upon reopening, Extra Magic Hours will be temporarily suspended.
A new reservation system for clients to re-book their dining, FastPasses, and experiences will soon be implemented. Guests who already have an existing Walt Disney World vacation package booked will have priority access to rebook their reservations.
If you currently have a Walt Disney World resort reservation booked with the free dining discount, the dining plan will still be removed from your package. However, you will receive a 35% room discount when you rebook for a later date.
