Up, Up and Away With These Beautiful Disney Balloons!
Disney Springs is open and suddenly we here at MickeyBlog are feeling so incredibly optimistic. As a matter of fact, this stunning shot shared by Disney Parks Blog this morning perfectly sums up our mood!
This photo was actually taken by Chloe Rice, a Creative Photographer at Walt Disney World (sounds like a pretty awesome job right!?.) This colorful image was taken in the “balloon room” where the balloons at the theme parks are prepped for the day!
We can’t think of a better, more satisfying way of showcasing that magic that Disney brings to the parks each day! One look at this stunning image and you’re immediately transported to the sights and sounds of Main Street U.S.A.
Chloe had this to say about capturing the stunning balloon image above, “When I walked into the room on this particular morning a few years ago, balloons were flooding the space, making it hard to even close the door behind me. Walking through hundreds of these balloons – having them all bump up against me and my camera gear – felt like a hug. It was a really magical moment that made me feel lucky to work where I do.”
So how did she execute this amazing shot? Chloe remembers “I had some lighting equipment in tow and an assistant to help me carve out a shot I had envisioned in my head, but as we were setting things up, I saw this scene playing out and quickly fired the shutter. I knew immediately, before even looking at the little screen on my camera or getting back to my desk, I had the shot that was in my head – no additional help or lights needed! It’s moments like that when I’m reminded Disney magic is everywhere.”
We’re convinced that Chloe has the coolest job ever! If you want to find out more about some of the awesome work she does you can check out the video above showing some work she did on a project celebrating Disney’s Twitter milestone.
In addition to the incredible images we’ve shared above Chloe has captured images for Disneyland, Shanghai Disney, Aulani, Adventures By Disney and Disney Cruise Lines!
She says of her background, “I’ve always approached photography with the technical skill of an adult, but the creativity and imagination of a child, and I can’t think of a better place than Disney to apply that kind of thinking.”
